International Conference on I3: Sutra to Unlock India’s Potential: (Inclusion, Innovation, Indianness)

The International Conference organized by SVIMS saw over 150 participants including eminent academicians, entrepreneurs, journalists, and students. In his opening message to the delegates, Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani emphasized that India has always upheld the principles of global thinking and Inclusiveness, while remaining true to her own values and ideals.

Dr. B.H. Nanwani, Director, SVIMS, outlined the growth of SVIMS over the last four years. Touching on the themes of the Conference, she pointed to recent statistics that showed that real development was still to percolate to the grassroots.

In the Inaugural address, Mr. HåkanKingstedt – Chairman of Sweden-India Business Council and former CEO, Sandvik Asia, emphasized that Innovation was the key driver for India’s growth.

This conference brought together eminent scholars and professionals on the same platform: Mr. Kishore Sidhwani, former VP, CP Construction and Equipment; Mr. AniruddhaGupte, Innovator and Entrepreneur; Ms. Vinita Deshmukh, senior journalist; Ms. Vasudha Joshi, Vice Principal, Ness Wadia College; Ms. Sadhana Kulkarni, Constitutional Expert and Professor of Politics and Public Administaration; Mr. ManavLalwani, young entrepreneur from the U.S. Dr. Vishwamber Chaudhary, Founder of the Oasis Environmental Foundationand Mr. Kingstedt himself.

There were two simultaneous sessions of Paper Reading by delegates who had sent their Research as well as Conceptual Papers for presentation and publication at the Conference.

The Valedictory address was delivered by Mr. Ashok  Sajjanhar, Former Ambassador to Sweden and presently Chairman, National Foundation for Communal Harmony.
