Rotaract Club of SVIMS is sponsored by Rotary Club of Pune Central. It aims at providing an opportunity to our students to enhance their knowledge, skills and personality. It also gives them avenues to address social/community issues and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service. In the last two yrs of its installation the club has undertaken a number of activities aimed at self and professional development and community welfare.

Healing Harmonies – Breast Cancer Awareness Drive –Dr. Shekhar Kulkarni, a reputed oncologist along with his group presented ‘Healing Harmonies’, a musical theatre performance to create breast cancer awareness. No-touch breast cancer scanning facility was also provided at a subsidized rate.




River Cleaning Drive – In Association with Indian Maritime Foundation IMF) and International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) –Every year Rotaract Club of SVIMS undertakes riverbed cleanup in association with Indian Maritime Foundation (IMF) and International Coastal Cleanup.  We are glad to make a small difference to our environment. It helps us realize how resourceful every citizen can be if we join hands to be the change they want to see.




First Aid Workshop in association with Sadhu Vaswani College of Nursing, Pune

Providing proper help with right knowledge is more important than merely providing help with lack of knowledge.  This Workshop was an endeavour to make our students responsible citizens by  equipping with knowledge and practice training on handling emergencies such as Road Traffic Accidents, Burns and Heart Attack.



Green Generation Diwali – Rotaract Club of SVIMS had taken up an initiative to run an online awareness drive, named GREEN GENERATION DIWALI, on social media. A Facebook page titled Green Generation Diwali was launched. The focus of the drive was to encouraging people to celebrate ‘Green Diwali’, by saying ‘NO’ to firecrackers. The campaign was a huge success as the page was able to reach over 3500+ people. 216 people liked the page and joined the mission to promote the concept of Green Diwali. Encouraged by the response the club has pledged to undertake it every year.



Ryla – Rotary Youth Leadership Awards

RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) event at the SVIMS was organized in association with our sponsor club, Rotary Club of Pune Central. Head of RYLA,  Rtn. Dr. Rajiv Narvekar, Youth Director Rtn. JitenSandu, emotional fitness gym trainer, Rtn, Anil Dagia and finance expert, Rtn, Sandeep Gokhale addressed the students.


The MUNA Experience

Model United Nations (also Model UN or MUN) is a conference similar to the United Nations in which students participate as delegates to various UN Committees. Participants research and formulatepolitical  positions based on the actual policies of the countries they represent. MUNA gave  our  students  good  opportunity  to  their  foreign  policies and  issues  related   to the country they were representing. SVIMS student, Mansha Khan, delegate of Pakistan won   the award for the best traditional costume.
