WOMEN’S Day
SVIMS organized 2 Days event on International Women’s Day on 8th and 9th March 2021.
Day 1 theme was titled- Vishakha: Gender Parity in the times of COVID -19. The Chief Guest- Ms. Divya Hedge is a Founder and CEO of The Integrated Penguin (TIP) focused on the need to nurture talent of women. This was followed by a panel discussion on Gender Parity, Leadership and COVID 19 by Ms. Aishwarya Rathi, Founder and CEO, ASTRA Brand Women Equality; Ms. Manisha Bhati, Co-founder, and CEO at Dreamhunt India and Ms. Raksha Agarwal, Founder- Director, Zariya Mental Health. The panel unanimously believed women face gender bias and , alongside a very modern Aishwarya shared that being pessimist all the time is not right. We should acknowledge men who are practicing gender equality. The second half of the day was refreshing interview with Sister Lucy from Maher. The Day ended with a wonderful display of talent by 20 Tiny-Tots from 3 schools across India sharing their understanding of gender equality.
 
On 9th March, the theme was Vishakha: Gender and Mental Health. The day began with Ms. Sarah Landry, CEO of THNO a UK based professional sharing concerns on gender issues in technology sector and need to talent nurturing of young female minds. This session was followed by a session by Roohi Mental Health Platform members Ms. Divya Bhatia, Independent Director, Ms. Shriya Shrivastava, Founder and Managing Director and Ms. Jui Kadvekar, Co-Founder and Executive Director discussed emotional wellbeing of women during COVID 19 at workplace and back home.
